Abimo Privacy Policy

Abimo ("the app", "we") is an independent iOS app developed and operated by its developer, based in Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, where it goes, and how to get it deleted. The short version: your recordings and ideas are yours, we don't sell data, there are no ads, and there is no cross-app tracking.

What we collect

• Account information. Your email address and a password, used to create and sign in to your account.
• Voice recordings. The voice notes you record in the app, so they can be transcribed and analysed.
• Transcripts, analyses and plans. The text transcribed from your recordings, the AI-generated analyses and scores, the action plans, and the notes you write when you complete a step.
• Subscription status. Whether your account has Abimo Plus, verified from the receipt Apple issues. We never see your payment details.
• Usage and diagnostics. Product events (screens viewed, features used, purchases started or completed) and crash reports, tied to a random user identifier and an app-instance identifier. No advertising identifier is used.

How your data is processed

• Storage — Supabase (United States). Your account, recordings, transcripts, analyses and plans are stored in a database and a private storage bucket that only your account can read.
• Transcription and analysis — OpenAI (United States). Your recording is sent to OpenAI's API to be transcribed; the transcript is then sent to produce the analysis, score and plan. To research the market for your idea, a short summary of the transcript is also used to run web searches through OpenAI's API. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models.
• Analytics and crash reporting — Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics).
• Payments — Apple. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple ID.

These providers process data only to deliver the service described here. Some of them are located outside Canada, which means your data may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions while it is processed there.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't use your data for advertising or track you across other apps or websites.
• We don't listen to your recordings except as needed to run the transcription and analysis you asked for, or to investigate a problem you reported.
• We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; Abimo is not directed at them.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. You can delete an individual idea at any time, and you can delete your whole account from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. Account deletion immediately removes your recordings, transcripts, analyses, plans and account record from our servers. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be retained.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or erase your personal information. Most of this you can do yourself inside the app; for anything else, email privacy@abimo.ca. If you are in Quebec, the rest of Canada, the EU/EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction with data-protection law, you have these rights under that law, and you may lodge a complaint with your local authority (in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information).

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app.
